A Simple Check That Can Keep You Safe
Your tires are one of the most important safety features on your vehicle, but they’re also one of the easiest things to overlook. Start by checking your tire pressure. Changes in temperature can cause your tire pressure to rise or fall, so it’s a good habit to check it at least once a month. The correct pressure is listed on the sticker inside your driver’s door, not on the tire itself. Properly inflated tires improve handling, fuel economy, and help your tires wear more evenly.
Next, take a look at your tread depth. If the tread is looking worn or uneven, it’s time to have your tires inspected. Good tread provides better grip, especially during rain and Ontario’s snowy winters. While you’re at it, look for cracks, bulges, or anything stuck in the tire that could turn into a bigger problem later.
