Whats The Best 2019 Jeep Wrangler Trim Level For Me
Posted on March 1, 2020
Just as here in Canada we have more trim levels of the Jeep Cherokee to choose from than our friends over the border in the US have, it's a similar story with other Jeep SUVs too. The 2019 Jeep Wrangler in America is only available in 4 variants, but here in Canada it's available in six different trim levels. To help you decide which is the best trim level for you, here's a quick guide to the 2019 Jeep Wrangler trim levels.
2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport
Lots of people want a Jeep Wrangler because it could be the most iconic and easily identifiable SUV in the world, and it's generally pretty cool. The most affordable way to get into a new Wrangler is the entry level Wrangler Sport which starts from as little as $35,195. Standard features include: Uconnect 3 multimedia with a 5.0-inch touchscreen, 17-inch black wheels, ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera, and a 3.6-litre V-6 powerplant with six-speed manual transmission.
2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport S
The next step up from the entry level Sport trim is the Sport S, which then starts from $39,145. The enhancements this model gets above and beyond the Sport include remote keyless entry, air conditioning, a leather wrapped steering wheel and 17-inch Tech Silver aluminum wheels. And of course, like all Wranglers, the Sport and Sport S are standard four-wheel drive.
2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
Although all Wranglers are built to cope with the off-road environment with consummate ease, the capability starts to get ramped up even further by opting for the Rubicon. The Rubicon takes the Sport S specification and upgrades it with red tow hooks, a Rock-Trac two-speed transfer case with a 4:1 low range, performance suspension and Tru-Lok front and rear axles with Dana M210 wide front and Dana M220 wide rear axles.
2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport S
The Unlimited Sport S takes a different direction to the Rubicon as it's built on the Sport S specification instead of the Rubicon's more hardcore off-road plan. The Unlimited Sport S includes an 8-speaker audio system, front and rear floor mats, a rear dome lamp with on/off switch and 60/40 split folding seats. While the Rubicon costs from $47,595, the Unlimited Sport S is more affordable at $42,995.
2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara
For even more features without going for the hardcore off-road equipment, the Unlimited Sahara is the next step up from the Unlimited Sport S. This trim level adds the likes of Uconnect 4 with a 7-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch full color customizable in-cluster display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and 18-inch polished alloy wheels with Grey spokes.
2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon
If you want a Wrangler with all the trimmings and all the capability, the Unlimited Rubicon is the answer. It probably won't come as too much of a surprise that it has all the off-road kit of the Rubicon and all the features and equipment of the Unlimited Sahara, but it doesn't cost a great deal more than the Rubicon.
