Whats The Best 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trim Level For Me
Posted on April 13, 2020
If you're the sort of buyer who likes plenty of choice and you're looking to buy one of the latest Jeep SUVs, here in Canada you're quite a bit luckier than our friends in the US. In America the 2019 Jeep Cherokee only comes in five different trim levels, but here in Canada we're offered a choice of eight versions. That's all well and good, but extra choice makes it even harder to decide which one to go for. To help out, here's a quick guide to the different trim levels of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee SUV that are currently available to Canadian buyers.
2019 Jeep Cherokee Sport
The Jeep Cherokee Sport is the gateway to the range at the moment, and this high value model starts from as little as $27,021. Standard features include: LED headlamps and daytime running lights, air conditioning, Uconnect 3 Multimedia Centre with a 5.0-inch touchscreen, ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera and Tire Fill Alert.
2019 Jeep Cherokee North
For around $3,000 more than the Sport, the next model in the range is the Cherokee North. The North upgrades the infotainment to Uconnect 4 with a larger 7-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, LED fog lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.
2019 Jeep Cherokee Altitude
It only costs around $800 to go up another level to the Altitude trim level, but it has to be said the enhancements on top of the North are largely cosmetic. The Altitude comes with Gloss Black roof rails, interior accents, grille surround and badges, but the most notable upgrade is a pretty smart set of 18-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels.
2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited
If an even larger touchscreen for the Uconnect 4 system, a power liftgate, 18-inch polished aluminum wheels and Nappa leather-faced seats sound like features you really like the idea of, this is where the Limited trim level comes into play. Those might sound like expensive upgrades, but the starting price for this model is actually a very reasonable $31,359.
2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk
Upgrades start to get quite extensive when it comes to the next model in the Cherokee family, which is the Trailhawk. This model is even more off-road focused than the ones we've already covered as it includes Jeep's Active Drive Lock, Selec-Terrain Traction Management with Rock Mode, and it also comes standard with the 3.2-litre Pentastar V-6 engine.
2019 Jeep Cherokee High Altitude
The High Altitude isn't a straight upgrade from the Trailhawk even though it's a little more expensive. The High Altitude takes the Limited trim as its starting point but adds the likes of 19-inch alloy wheels, Uconnect 4C multimedia with navigation, an Alpine premium sound system and Granite Crystal exterior accents.
2019 Trailhawk Elite
Buyers wanting the off-road capability of the Trailhawk but with more luxury should look at the Trailhawk Elite, which adds a hands-free power liftgate, Nappa leather heated and ventilated front seats and a remote start system for $35,605.
2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland
If the hardcore off-roading equipment isn't required, but more features are, the top-of-the-range model is the Overland. This one costs from $36,969 and upgrades the Limited trim to include 19-inch polished alloy wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, Uconnect 4C NAV with 8.4-inch touchscreen and full suite of SiriusXM.
