Posted on January 19, 2021
There are a lot of exciting vehicles coming from Dodge for 2017, but perhaps none as impressive as the 2017 Dodge Challenger. Always a favorite here at North York Chrysler, the 2017 Dodge Challenger is the next step in a long line of excellence. While many of its most popular features will return, there are some major changes coming for 2017. Let's take a closer look at a couple of these big upgrades.
2017 Dodge Challenger GT
When you look under the hood of this powerful all-wheel drive muscle car, you won't be disappointed. The 2017 Dodge Challenger GT features a 3.6-liter Direct Injection Pentastar V-6 that produces 305 horsepower at 6350 rpm and 268 lb.-ft. of torque at 4800 rpm. This speed racer tops out at 130 mph.
The biggest news is that Dodge is calling this the first two-door American muscle car with all-wheel drive. Based on the system found in the Dodge Charger GT, the 2017 model sends all the power to the rear wheels during normal driving conditions and engages the front axle when sensors detect slippage. It is an amazing system that blends performance and handling perfectly. You also get 19-inch alloy wheels with a black finish, fog lamps, Nappa leather seating, heated front seats, and a Uconnect 8.4 infotainment system.
2017 Dodge Challenger T/A
If you love the lines and performance of Dodge's muscle cars from the 1970's, then you will fall hard for the 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A. This special edition Dodge is unique and unforgettable to drive. Available in three trim levels, T/A, T/A Plus, and T/A 392, this powerhouse comes standard with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that puts out 375 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque. If you step up to the T/A 392 trim, you get an impressive 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that kicks with 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque.
The 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A really stands out when you see it in person. You get dual "air catcher" headlights, a stain black hood with cold air intake kit, Mopar hood pins, a satin black fuel door and rear spoiler and of course the famed satin black T/A stripes running down the sides of the car. The 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A is as beautiful as it is powerful
