Sometimes, just sometimes, when an all-new model of a vehicle comes along, the outgoing model is so good it stays in production alongside its successor for a while before being discontinued. It's not something that happens all the time, but it has happened with the Ram 1500 pickup truck. The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 is now with us, but you can still go out and buy a new version of the outgoing model which sits in the current Ram trucks range as the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic.
2019 Ram 1500 Classic
There are five basic trim levels of the Ram 1500 Classic for buyers to choose from, which start with the ST and then go upwards to the Express, SXT Plus, SLT, and the Night Edition. All five models are standard rear-wheel drive, but all five can be upgraded to four-wheel drive.
Three different engines are still available in the range, and they cover the full range of what buyers want in a full-size, light-duty pickup. The standard unit is a 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6 rated at 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque. If a V-8 is what you're looking for under the hood of your new truck, Ram then offers a 5.7-litre V-8 that puts out 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque. And if lots of torque and impressive fuel economy is on your new truck agenda, the last of the trio of powerplants could be the way to go as it's a 3.0-litre V-6 turbodiesel offering 240 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque.
2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock
If you still love the look of the 1500 Classic but you want an even more sinister-looking pickup truck, FCA has now launched the stunning new 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock. Those with a knowledge of pickup truck history will know the Warlock dates back as far as 1976, which is when the Warlock was introduced by Ram to appeal to younger buyers who wanted a custom-look truck straight from the factory. This new model pays homage to the original Warlock pickups of the 1970s by offering discerning buyers a well-equipped, factory-customized truck with unique style, capability, and great value for money. Warlock pricing starts at $35,345 (not including $1,695 destination).

The Warlock comes standard with a black grille with bold R-A-M lettering, 20-inch semi-gloss black alloy wheels, front and rear powder coated bumpers, a one-inch factory lift, black wheel flares, LED fog lamps, projector headlamps with dark bezels, and LED rear tail lamps. Buyers also get black badging, tow hooks, unique hood decals, heavy-duty rear shocks, and some fetching Warlock decals on the bedsides round out the impressive package.
