2019 Uconnect Infotainment System

Since 2003, customers at Caledon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram have been enjoying the Uconnect infotainment system. It puts the latest technologies and features in an easy-to-use package, so your driving experience is that much better. A few changes are coming to 2019 model-year FCA vehicles with the 2019 Uconnect system.
Drive Alerts
You might already be familiar with SiriusXM Guardian Connected services. This feature brings an array of connectivity and conveniences features to vehicles through the Uconnect infotainment system, like remotely locking or unlocking the doors or the Assist button to call for help.
All Uconnect 4C NAV 8.4-inch display systems will be gaining yet another feature through SiriusXM Guardian Connected, called Family Drive Alerts. This will provide additional peace of mind, especially if you have a new driver or an aging parent behind the wheel.
With Family Drive Alerts, you can create boundary limits and be alerted when the vehicle leaves a certain area. The system will also alert drivers when they're still on the road after curfew, helping to enforce the valuable rule. To reinforce safe driving habits, this feature also allows you to choose a maximum speed and be alerted when a driver exceeds it.
This feature even helps when turning the vehicle over to a valet. With Valet Alert active, an alert is sent to you - if the car goes more than 0.4 kilometre (0.25 mile) away from where you dropped it off.
Search
Going beyond simple Points of Interest, the navigation system will now allow drivers to search for a destination with up-to-date information. A built-in cellular connection provides access to the cloud, so you can search for all kinds of destinations, even if they're relatively new. This also means you'll know when a destination might no longer be in operation, helping you to save time you might otherwise have wasted.
Amazon Alexa
Also available for 2019 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles with the Uconnect 4C NAV system is Amazon Alexa. You might already use Alexa at home with the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, or Echo Show, but the voice service can now travel with you everywhere.
Use voice commands to start the vehicle's engine, lock/unlock doors, check tire pressure or fuel levels, send navigation directions to the infotainment system, and more.
Ram 1500
If you're looking to buy a 2019 Ram 1500 pickup truck, the fourth-generation Uconnect system comes with an additional feature. For the first time, you'll enjoy a 12-inch display, making it easier than ever to see menus and make selections on the move.
As a truck owner, you'll also have the option of reconfiguring the touchscreen layout. Many of the graphics for menus will be customized specifically for the Ram 1500.
A new split-screen mode allows you to operate two different applications simultaneously. That means you can manage things like the HVAC system and Apple CarPlay at once. Or, you have the option of using the entire 12-inch screen for one activity, like navigation. It's all up to you.
